NoteBurner has the ability to burn purchased music or audio files to a usual CD-R disc or a drive on iTunes, Windows Media Player, Real Player or Napster. However, its name is somehow misleading, because it is an audio file converter. A good one by the way, because it uses a different method to convert files, and accepts a large variety of formats. It uses a Virtual Burning Engine, a technology that emulates the burning and ripping processes. For instance, this audio format converting mechanism, converts iTunes music to MP3 with good-quality results.

An excellent feature is that it is compatible with many mobile devices such as: iPod & iPhone, Zune, Sony PSP, Archos, Creative Zen, iRiver, Sandisk Sansa, BlackBerry, Nokia, SamSung and more. It also works with Itunes, Windows Media Player and Real Player.

NoteBurner is one of the few available applications that can free-up M4P music to MP3, so that the user from iTunes can enjoy their music on any compatible mp3 player. NoteBurner M4P Converter converts any M4P, M4a, WMA music or audio to MP3, WAV, WMA.

Version 2.2 of NoteBurner includes just a few and almost unnoticeable changes, and its trial version allows users to convert only 3 minutes of audio files.
